Contemporary dance technique workshop

This workshop appeals to those being in close contact with modern dance classes. This two-hour class aims at exploiting our knowledge about the anatomic function of the human body as a way to analyze the mechanic of movement, b) the natural and organic usage of the flowing energy of a moving body, c) and the conscious movement of its parts, d) using the exact amount of muscular tension needed while performing any move.
More specifically it comprises of a)exercises on technique so as to strengthen the spine and produce best agility b)isolation exercises, c) proper respiratory use, d) weight transposition and partnering, d) teaching moving phrases as a means of improvisation.

Betty Dramisioti

She was born in Patras. She graduated from the State School of Dance in 1997 and ever since she has been teaching the technique of modern dance both to children and adults. She has performed as part of various groups-(C. Madafounis, P. Stamatopouloυ, mεtakinisi, wrong movement, quasi stellar etc ) in Greece and abroad. Since 2002 she has been a member of the group sinequanon. From 2011 till 2013 she worked for the dancetheatre of the State Theatre of Northern Greece teaching at the same time movement to those studying on the third year of the drama school. From 2001 till 2011 she taught dance technique, improvisation and choreography in R. Mannou’s professional dance school. In 2013 she set her own dance school of higher education named ‘AKTINA’
