Brief description of residency program
Akropoditi Dance Centre consists of two connected buildings, dated from 1850, which were originally used as a tan yard and were more recently renovated as protected buildings.
The first building is a space of 163m2 that functions as a dance and performing work studio. The space has wooden floors, a lounge and a bathroom with shower.
The second building is a space of 180m2 and it is built in two levels: Downstairs, as a stage for performances and projection room, with sound and lighting facilities, projector and video camera. The space also includes dressing rooms, kitchen, shower cabin and bathroom. Upstairs, there is a large room that includes a library, an office with equipment like laptop, telephone set and free Internet access. At the same place, there is a loft which is used as a bedroom.
From April 2013, the Centre is offering Residency programs for Performing Arts, Theatre, Dance, Music, Literature and Educational Programs.
